Building a pool in Boca Raton: what to know
City or county permitting
Not every Boca Raton address is inside city limits. Homes within the City of Boca Raton are permitted through the city’s Building Division, while many communities west of the city limits are in unincorporated Palm Beach County and are permitted by the county. We confirm your jurisdiction at the first consultation and prepare the engineering, plans, and permit application either way.
HOA and architectural review
Many Boca Raton neighborhoods, from gated golf communities to waterfront enclaves, require HOA or architectural review approval before a permit can be submitted. Our 3D designs and plan sets give your association a clear picture of the finished project.
Waterfront and new-construction lots
On Intracoastal and canal lots, groundwater and setbacks shape how a pool is engineered and excavated. When your home is new construction, we coordinate directly with your builder’s schedule, as we did on Golden Harbour Drive.
Pool safety barriers
Florida’s Residential Swimming Pool Safety Act requires every new residential pool to include at least one approved safety feature, such as a barrier with self-closing, self-latching gates, an approved safety cover, or alarms on doors that open to the pool. We plan the safety features with your design so final inspection goes smoothly.

Can you work with my builder on a new home?
Yes. Much of our Boca Raton work is new construction. We coordinate layout, utilities, and scheduling directly with your builder so the pool is ready when the home is.
Who handles permits and inspections?
We do. Our team prepares the engineering and permit package, submits it to the City of Boca Raton or Palm Beach County, and schedules every inspection through final.
